Grammarly's new feature can predict whether you'll fail a test

One of the worst feelings a student can experience is anxiously waiting for a recently submitted essay to be graded. Grammarly 's new feature claims to give you an instant score, saving you from a long, stressful wait.

Grammarly Launches 8 New AI Agents, Including One That Grades Your Essays

Grammarly announced a bunch of new features today for both free and paid users, including AI Grader . The feature is designed to do exactly what it says it will — estimate the grade your essay will receive. AI Grader appears to use a variety of parameters to estimate your score and make appropriate recommendations, including the grading criteria you upload, course information, and writing topics.

Sometimes, your grade on an essay can also depend on the grader. Interestingly, Grammarly has taken that into account, saying it can even take into account publicly available information about instructors' grading styles.

To be honest, many people aren't big fans of Grammarly AI, but it's a really useful tool for students. Of course, it all depends on how accurate the grade prediction is. The public profile of professors is also a bit questionable, as most professors don't have any information online that could hint at their grading style. And even if they did, it's hard to imagine Grammarly converting that information into a meaningful tool for predicting grades.

In addition to the AI Grader tool, Grammarly announced seven other tools: Read Reactions, Citation Finder, Expert Review, Proofreader, AI Detector, Plagiarism Checker , and Paraphraser . The functionality of these tools is pretty self-explanatory, with each tool handling a specific part of the writing or editing process. While many other AI tools can already do all of these things, Grammarly's AI tools are designed to reduce the time it takes to create prompts by allowing you to call directly to the specific tool you need.

Grammarly also now has a document-based interface, Docs, which it calls a 'new native AI writing surface' and is essentially designed to put all of its AI tools on top.

Grammarly's new agents are rolling out to Grammarly Free and Grammarly Pro starting today, and will be available to Grammarly Enterprise and Grammarly for Education users later this year. All eight AI agents will be available in Docs at no additional cost and will be rolled out gradually across sites and apps where people already use Grammarly.
