Previously, if a user wanted to delete a photo or video from their Google Photos backup, they had to completely turn off backup for that device. This can be inconvenient, especially for those who want to manage their cloud storage selectively. Undo device backup is here to fix that. To access and use this feature, simply follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Photos app.

2. At the top of the screen, tap your Profile Picture or Initials, then tap Settings Google Photos, then Backup .

3. To view items that are off-screen, use the scroll bar.

4. Tap ' Undo backup for This device '.

5. Check the box next to ' I understand my photos and videos from this device will be deleted from Google Photos ' .

6. Tap Delete Google Photos backup .

Keep in mind that this feature only deletes photos and videos from your Google Photos backups, not from your device's storage. So if you want to permanently delete photos and videos from your device, you'll need to do that separately. Additionally, after using the "Undo Device Backup" feature, automatic backups will be turned off for that device. To turn automatic backups back on, you'll need to manually turn them back on in your Google Photos settings.
