Dell launches 40-inch UltraSharp: Ultrawide display with 5K resolution
In addition to the Latitude line of laptops recently introduced a few days ago, Dell also announced another high-end computer monitor model named Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor, code-named U4021QW.
As the name suggests, the new Dell screen measures 40 inches, belonging to the high-end UltraSharp line. It is also the world's first monitor with a 40-inch curved screen with an ultrawide (21: 9) aspect ratio at 5K (5120 x 2160) resolution.
In terms of display quality, Dell says its new U4021QW display is capable of displaying 100% sRGB color gamut and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut. At the same time, this is also a 10-bit 1.07 billion color screen, suitable for the needs of users to make graphics.
The ports are also an advantage of the Dell UltraSharp 40 monitor as it is equipped with a lot of connection ports on the back, including:
- one Thunderbolt 3 port for transfer speeds up to 40Gbps (supports HDCP 2.2 10-bit color rendering at 60Hz) and can charge laptops at up to 90W.
- one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port to charge the phone with 15W.
- five USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports.
- one DisplayPort 1.4 port
- two HDMI 2.0 ports support HDCP 2.2 (display 10-bit color at 30Hz).
- and finally a LAN port to plug in the network cable.
In addition, this monitor also acts as a KVM Switch device, allowing users to connect to both PC and phone at the same time so that they can use the mouse and keyboard together.
The Dell UltraSharp 40 comes with a stand with adjustable height (120mm) and viewing angle to suit each person's vision and desk.
Regarding the selling price, Dell UltraSharp 40 will be sold from January 28 to here, the starting price from 2,100 USD. In addition, Dell also introduced a 38-inch UltraSharp monitor and many other 24-inch 27- and 34-inch monitors that have a much lower price tag.
