Hamachi is a virtual private network (VPN - Virtual Private Network) that uses the UDP protocol with 'open security architecture'.
Each computer connected to the Hamachi network for the first time will be assigned an ID; A server will be responsible for 'navigating' clients connected to each other, forming a virtual LAN over the Internet. Once connected, clients do not need any further support from the Hamachi server.
Each network in Hamachi is a virtual LAN, with different names and passwords. After joining the network, you can connect and share data with other computers on the network.
After downloading the program from www.hamachi.cc/download (with Vietnamese version available) and installing, users can connect to Hamachi network with an optional nick name and be provided with an ID. Select Launch Hamachi to start the program. Click the Power On button at the bottom left of the window.
If it is the first time using Hamachi, the program will appear a table offering you a new account, then you will be granted 1 IP on the LAN. To create a private LAN, on the control bar, select the Create New Network button in the middle. Give the network a name at Network Name and create a password for the network at Network.
Other people who want to access the LAN you created will choose Join Network, type your name and password. Just like that, anyone who wants to go online will hit the correct name and pass.
After successfully entering the network, people on the same network can share data easily with each other, sending messages as in the intranet.
Thanks to simplicity, convenience and good connectivity and high security, it takes very little memory, Hamachi has quickly attracted users to share data over the network, especially to create Virtual 'game room' on the Internet. Currently, Hamachi is very popular in Vietnam with countless rooms reserved for Halflife, Starcraft, Warcraft games.
