Bing Image Creator integrates the latest GPT-4o image generation model from OpenAI for free
Microsoft has just announced that Bing Image Creator now integrates the GPT-4o image generation model – the latest technology from OpenAI – for free. Earlier this year, OpenAI integrated image generation directly into GPT-4o, instead of using standalone models like DALL·E.
The GPT-4o model is capable of generating images with high accuracy, especially in displaying clear text and following user requests thanks to its extensive knowledge base and ability to understand conversation context. In addition, users can also edit uploaded images or create new images based on available content for reference. However, because this model generates more detailed images, the processing time is also longer than DALL·E 3.
Based on user feedback, Microsoft said Bing Image Creator will continue to maintain the DALL·E 3 model alongside GPT-4o. When creating images, users can choose which model they want to use. As before, the tool is still completely free, with 15 quick image creations per day. After that, each additional quick image creation will cost 10 Microsoft Rewards points. However, users can still create unlimited images at standard speed.
The Bing development team shares:
We understand that creativity is not about freedom, so now with just one click you can switch between models – like DALL·E 3 – for fast AI images and more options, all while maintaining the familiar Bing Image Creator interface.
Users can access the new version of Bing Image Creator via bing.com/create , the Bing mobile app, Copilot Search, or by typing the command directly into the Bing search bar or the Edge browser address bar. Additionally, ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, or Free users can also use the GPT-4o image creation feature for free.
