Check out Microsoft's 'exclusive' 50th anniversary Windows 11 wallpapers

Windows 11's default "Bloom" wallpaper actually comes in a variety of different versions – from light and dark modes to custom versions for Copilot+ PC, Windows 365, and Windows 365 Link… Earlier this year, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Microsoft released a very special edition: the 50th Anniversary Edition Surface Laptop with the classic Microsoft logo and a 'nostalgic' Bloom wallpaper.

 

This version of Bloom is designed in a dark tone, with some gold glitter effects – but some users on Reddit humorously commented that it. looks moldy! Still, for those who love dark mode – especially on OLED or miniLED screens with deep blacks and bright colors – this is still an extremely impressive choice.

 

The 50th Anniversary Edition Surface Laptop is currently quite hard to find on the market. However, the exclusive wallpaper that comes with the device has been released by Microsoft and is available for download in full resolution (click on the image to download).

Notably, this isn't the only special edition. Microsoft recently launched the 'Smurface Laptop,' a Surface designed in collaboration with the animated film The Smurfs. The lid features cute drawings inspired by the Smurfs, and it's currently on sale on Amazon for the same price as the regular Surface Laptop. It's unclear whether this model will come with a Smurf version of Bloom wallpaper, but the idea sounds interesting.
