Apple releases iOS 14.3 Beta 1: ProRAW support for iPhone 12 Pro, compatibility with PS5 controller

Apple in the latest Beta update has added and supported many more useful features, such as ProRAW for  iPhone 12 Pro , compatibility with PS5 controller, .

1. ProRAW support

As noted by test users, Apple has added support for ProRAW format to iPhone 12 Pro and  iPhone 12 Pro Max . Apple introduced ProRAW earlier when it announced its new iPhone 12 lineup   , but said that the feature will be updated later.

ProRAW shooting mode produces images with the best detail, minimizes noise, and adjusts to multiple exposures. Photos taken with ProRAW are approximately 25 MB in size, so users should consider using restrictions to avoid full of iPhone storage  .

The ProRAW feature can be enabled by selecting  Settings  >  Camera  >  Format  for those who have iOS 14.3 Beta1 installed on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. When enabled, the shooting interface will be added a RAW button in the upper right corner, users can choose to turn RAW on or off.

2. Third party app recommendations

In iOS 14.3 Beta 1, Apple will recommend third-party apps to users during the setup of a  new iPhone or  iPad . However, the app recommendation only supports a few countries where permitted by law, so US users won't see third-party apps appear when setting up a new device.

3. Health Application

Health app has added a new section about Pregnancy.

4. Supports SP5 degree of control

The iOS 14.3 Beta 1 update adds support for PlayStation 5's DualSense controller and Luna control to Amazon's gaming service.

5. Apple Clips

According to the Apple release notes, App Clips can be launched by scanning App Clips Codes using the Camera.

6. Default search engine

Ecosia Engine can now be set as the default search engine for Google, Yahoo, Bing and DuckDuckGo. 

7. Home Application

The Home app will automatically show notifications when an update is available for accessories, and Apple will support software updates for accessories in the future through the Home app.

8. Weather

Apple has added information on air quality in the US, UK, Germany, India and Mexico.

9. Studio AirPods

There's an icon in iOS 14.3 Beta 1 that shows the design of the AirPods Studio.

10. Find

The code in iOS 14.3 Beta 1 confirms Apple is implementing the facility to support third-party accessory tracking into the Find app.
