Apple May Launch Its First Foldable Screen Product Next Year

Apple could launch its first foldable product as early as 2026.

Apple could soon enter the foldable device market with a new product, according to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman. In a recent Power On newsletter, Gurman said that Apple's first foldable iPhone or iPad could be released as early as 2026.

While rivals like Samsung have released generations of foldable phones, Apple has yet to announce anything similar. Gurman's information suggests that the shape and form of this foldable device is still unknown, and could be an iPhone or iPad, or even a completely new product line.

Apple is also rumored to be working on a foldable MacBook, but Gurman says that could be a few years away. The foldable iPhone is currently experiencing quality control issues, which could push the launch back to 2026.

Previously, in December 2024, it was reported that Apple's first foldable iPhone could have a flip design instead of a clamshell design. Analysts also predicted that the foldable MacBook could launch in 2026, but Gurman's latest information suggests otherwise.
