Corellium, a startup that provides mock versions of iOS to developers, recently released a beta version of a project called Project Sandcastle, which allows Android to run on iPhones.

Project Sandcastle has been developed by Corellium for many years with the aim of running Android in parallel with iOS right on iPhone, similar to running Windows and MacOS in parallel on Macs.

However, in the beta version of this project, their tips were only implemented on iPhone 7, 7 Plus and iPod Touch, and there are many limitations on the features.

Chris Wade, the founder of Corellium, said that in the coming time the support will come with more devices from iPhone 5S to iPhone X. Devices like iPhone 11 and newer will not be compatible due to this project. Use the Checkra1n jailbreak method to boot.

Basically, this jailbreak method removes the sandbox security layer on iOS. Therefore, users should consider before using the jailbreak method because it will make your iPhone less secure.

If you still want to experience Android on iPhone, you can visit the ProjectSandcastle.org website and follow the instructions on it. This project uses Android 10 to install on iPhones and of course you will not experience a full Android version on it.

The table illustrates the hardware features that will work on Project Sandcastle. In this project, the camera, GPU, Bluetooth, speakerphone, and mobile signal do not work on any iPhone versions.

Still, it's an interesting project with developers opening up opportunities for them to create something new from Apple hardware.
