Oppo Watch, what's new about Oppo smart watches?
The smartwatch market is growing at a frightening pace, having a strong impact on the global watch industry, and at the same time becoming a golden egg of birth for many technology manufacturers. As a big player in the mobile segment, of course Oppo cannot miss this 'piece of cake'.
The Chinese manufacturer is going to launch its first smartwatch called Oppo Watch at the Find X2 event on March 6. Early images show that the watch has a much borrowed design from the Apple Watch, but in some aspects is even more harmonious.
The Oppo Watch will come with a square watch face design, with soft rounded corners combined with 3D curved glass, all surrounded by a metal frame that feels extremely luxurious and high-end. This is the design trend on the current high-end smartwatches that the pioneer product is the Apple Watch.
The most noticeable difference between the Oppo Watch and Apple Watch is probably the button layout on the side of the watch. Oppo's smartwatch is equipped with two rather large buttons on the right edge similar to other WearOS devices, instead of the Digital Crown control as Apple products. Between the two buttons, there is a small space, probably where the microphone is located, enabling users to use it to make calls without having to use a smartphone.
It is still unclear what the specific function of these buttons will be, as well as the price and features that the watch supports. However most likely you will be able to use the watch to make and receive calls. If you look at the watch on the right, there seems to be an option for sending messages. In addition, there are also rumors that the product will support the ECG ECG feature like the Apple Watch.
In the Oppo advertising image, we can see two Oppo Watch: Gold frame, light rubber / silicon strap, and blue frame, leather strap / black rubber. As such, OPPO's smartwatch will definitely have at least 2 variants in color + strap, of which there is quite unique blue.
This is obviously a very smartwatch to look forward to for people who love the design of Apple Watch but don't use iPhones. We will update the details after the product is launched on March 6.
