The total number of mobile phones produced at Samsung Electronics Vietnam in 2013 accounted for 50% of the total phones that Samsung produced worldwide.

In 2014, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. aims to increase export turnover from 24 billion USD (in 2013) to 34 billion USD.

Samsung Electronics Vietnam started operating in Vietnam in 2009 with the first factory with a total area of ​​about 100 hectares built in Yen Phong I Industrial Zone, Yen Trung commune, Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province.

Recently, Samsung Electronics Vietnam has continuously expanded its investment scale. In March 2014, Samsung Electronics Vietnam's second factory located in Thai Nguyen was also put into operation.

Currently, Samsung Electronics Vietnam has about 30,000 workers working at production lines for mobile phones, tablets, vacuum cleaners and other electronic devices.

In the list of 327 reputable export enterprises in 2012-2013 announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in early May 2014, Samsung Electronics Vietnam is one of the two reputable exporters of all kinds of mobile phones and mobile phones. to sue.

At the signing ceremony of cooperation with PTIT, Mr. Shim Won Hwan , President of Samsung Electronics Vietnam, said that in 2013, Samsung Electronics Vietnam's export turnover reached 24 billion USD, accounting for 18% in Vietnam's export turnover. Expected in 2014, Samsung Electronics Vietnam aims to raise export turnover to 34 billion USD.

According to Mr. Shim Won Hwan, in parallel with production activities, with the long-term goal of sticking to Vietnam, Samsung has also established its Research and Development Center ( R&D ) in Hanoi Capital. Currently, this center has been put into operation, with a scale of 800 employees and research engineers.

It is expected that by the end of this year, the number of research staff and engineers of Samsung R&D Center in Hanoi will continue to be added. In Samsung's plan, Samsung's R&D Center in Hanoi will continue to expand, becoming a large-scale research center, with between 2,000 and 5,000 employees and research engineers.
