Today, the Microsoft company also published a notice reminding users that version 21H2 (both Home and Pro) is about to end support, and explains how to roll out major updates. Microsoft says the October 2023 Patch Tuesday will be the last security update for 21H2. Likewise, the upcoming September non-security release will be the last non-security optional update.

Notably, users' PCs running Windows 11 21H2 October 10, 2023 will automatically be updated to a newer release: Version 22H2.
