Windows 10 October 2018 Update, version 1809 is the official name of the major update

Windows 10 will receive the second major update this year in October.Although new features have not been clearly confirmed, the overall user experience will be significantly improved.

From Windows 10, Microsoft no longer offers big service packages, but instead releases updates twice a year.At IFA 2018, they officially introduced the name of the upcoming update: Windows 10 October 2018 Update, version 1809.

Notable new features are Dark Mode on File Explorer which is useful when used in the dark and Cloud Clipboard makes it easy to copy plain text, HTML and images under 1MB using the shortcut Win + V. Insider Preview version also promises to be released officially on October update.

Thanks to Your Phone application, connecting Windows 10 and Android will also be easier.Users access phone messages and files from Windows easily.Edge will also be updated to improve user interface and speed.The Snipping Tool will have its own shortcut Alt + Shift + S. Finally, the Xbox Game Bar gets a big improvement, showing CPU usage, GPU and RAM usage.

A smarter update process is applied to prevent restarting the machine at unexpected times.Microsoft introduced more AI algorithms to update when you didn't use the machine, limiting the impact on users when interfered.

Microsoft has not announced the exact time of launching the update.Last year, Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, or Windows 1709 version, was released on October 17.

In the final few steps, Microsoft has also moved to develop the next update, 19H1, scheduled to be released in April 2019.
