Vietnam Internet speed is slowest in Asia

Along with investment in improving electric lines, transportation, schools, and toilets, Vietnam may need to invest more in super high-speed information because of the latest survey results, the speed of Internet connection. Vietnam is the slowest in Asia, just above India.

According to Akamai's " Internet Status " survey, among 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Vietnam ranked second from the bottom with an average connection speed of 2 Mbps in the last quarter.

This speed is less than one tenth of the speed of surfing in Korea. Compared to other countries in Southeast Asia, it is only half of Singapore and lower than Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Vietnam's Internet speed is still much lower than the global average of 3.9 Mbps.
