Not everyone knows #TBT (Throwback Thursday) or #smh (shaking my head) , especially those who only participate once on Twitter. Therefore, this new feature needs to be more widely available to reach the average user. Currently, this feature is only tested with a small group of participants, so you may not see the streamlined hashtag interface in your own application.

The new hashtag was first discovered by the Wall Street Journal , although Twitter itself declined to comment on the test run. These hashtags will make it easy to find everything, but not necessarily all, Twitter is currently running tests and we don't know when they will decide to officially bring it up on mobile and web applications .

Twitter CEO Dick Costolo has also publicly acknowledged that this service needs to do more to attract ordinary users. Recently plans to improve the way Twitter handles major events, topics, and changes can be part of that upgrade. Android and iOS have also recently received more advanced application updates on live messaging capabilities.

Earlier this week Twitter announced its second-quarter financial results, with revenue growing significantly to $ 312 million. Monthly active users increased to 271 million from 255 million in the first quarter of 2014. Those are good numbers for Twitter but it is also a long way to keep up with Facebook.
