Warezov and Stration are Trojans that use infected computers to search and attack other systems. This is the second time the Trojan has spread on Skype since February until now.
According to Dan Hubbard, Websense vice president of security, the malicious code itself doesn't replicate, but when it runs, a URL will be sent to all users in the Skype contact list. If the Skype program is being used, a Trojan message will pop up, enticing the user to click on the link to download the Trojan and continue the new infection.
Trojans spread on Skype Picture 1 The two new Trojans will open a back door on the computer so that hackers can illegally infiltrate the system and steal user information, distribute spam or launch a DoS attack.
Websense recommends that users should not click on strange links in messages that look like " Check up this ". When users click on this link, they will be forwarded to a Trojan file site named " file_01.exe ". Users will be asked whether to run this file, if run, there will be a number of other Trojan files downloaded to the computer.
Websense also said that two new malicious code are not codes that exploit vulnerabilities in Skype.
