The 'super quartet' in the village browser is compared
Mozilla has just launched the latest generation of Firefox 7 and it is immediately compared to the top competitors including Chrome 14, Internet Explorer 9 and Opera 11.51.

LifeHacker technology page has compared boot speed, tab opening, JavaScript power, "7" RAM of Firefox 7 with 3 other popular browsers. Testing was done on Windows computers, so Apple's Safari browser is not on the list.
Boot time: Opera boots super fast (only for nearly 4 seconds), followed by Firefox 7. Internet Explorer, like many previous tests, ended with 11 seconds.
Tab opening time: Opera continues to be champion when it takes just over 3 seconds to open 9 tabs, followed closely by Internet Explorer for 5 seconds and Firefox 7 for more than 7 seconds.
JavaScript power: However, in terms of JavaScript capabilities, Chrome beat all rivals and Opera scooped up the table.
CSS (page layout language, styling for web page components): Opera continues to show its CSS power while Chrome fails during LifeHacker testing so it is not included in this list.
Ability to save memory: Opera is famous for being a browser with little memory on the computer and this is demonstrated by the above results. Firefox 7 is equally excellent.
This test only focused on performance and Opera 11.51 rated 82%, Firefox 7 was 73%, IE9 was 47.5% and Chrome 14 was 43%. However, users may also be interested in many other criteria such as speed, integrated applications (add-on, extension, plugin), customization ability .
