After announcing the conversion of webOS into an open platform like Android last year, today, HP has first introduced the official webOS to open version 1.0 in this direction.

However, HP needs more time to put into its open platform applications that support entertainment, Bluetooth, network connection management as well as page transfer speeds for smoother touch.

Previously, it was suggested that HP turning webOS into open source is like "death" it. The strong development of other platforms such as iOS or Android will make it difficult for HP to find the necessary hardware manufacturing partners.
