Snapchat's default Friend Emoji meaning
With Snapchat, Best Friend (best friend) is the friend who sent the most snap. You will have up to 8 best friends in your contact list. Friend emoji indicates the status of the relationship between you and another person (shown on the number of the snap sent to each other).
Below is the meaning of the default Friend Emoji:

): Two people are new friends. - Smiling Face (
): One of your best friends. (You send a lot of messages to that person) - Gold Heart (
): 2 people are each other's best friends (2 people send many messages to each other) - Red Heart (
): 2 people are Best friends for 2 consecutive weeks. - Pink Hearts (
): 2 people are the best friend for 2 consecutive months. - Smirking Face (
): You are one of their best friends (They send you many messages). - Grimace Face (
): Two people have a best friend. - Sunglasses Face (
): Two people have the same 1 in 8 best friend. - Fire (
): Two people are on Snapstreak. Next to the icon will display the number of days 2 people chat continuously. If after 24 hours, 2 people do not send each other messages, Snapstreak will end. - 100 (
): 2 people have maintained Snapstreak for 100 days. - Hourglass (
): Snapstreak is about to end. - Birthday Cake (
): Today is this friend's birthday.
How to change the default Friend Emoji on Snapchat
If you don't like the default icons, you can change them.
On Snapchat's main screen, click your profile icon on the top left.
On the profile page, click the gear wheel icon on the top right.
On the Settings page, scroll down to the Additional Services section and then tap the Manage option:

Next, click on the Friend Emoji you want to customize.
Select the new icon you want to use, then press the Back arrow to save the settings.
