Team Group launches T-Force Z54E PCIe 5.0 SSD with record read speed of 14,900 MB/s, surpassing Samsung and Kingston

Storage device manufacturer Team Group has just announced a new PCIe 5.0 SSD line called T-Force Z54E , considered the company's flagship product in the high-end popular segment. The product stands out thanks to its extremely high read and write speeds and impressive power saving performance.

Superior speed thanks to Phison E28 controller and 3D TLC NAND

According to Team Group, the T-Force Z54E uses the latest Phison E28 controller , manufactured on TSMC's 6nm process , combined with 232-layer 3D TLC NAND memory . This combination helps the drive achieve sequential read speeds of up to 14,900MB/s and sequential write speeds of 14,000MB/s - a number that surpasses most current PCIe 5.0 SSDs.

While many products in the same segment, such as the Samsung 9100 Pro or Kingston FURY Renegade G5 , only reach a maximum of about 14,800MB/s , the Z54E is slightly better, helping Team Group temporarily hold the throne in terms of theoretical speed. However, the company also notes that actual performance depends on many factors, such as hardware platform, cooling capacity and type of task.

Exclusive ultra-thin graphene heatsink

With such high speeds, the issue of temperature becomes extremely important. Team Group has equipped the Z54E with an exclusive ultra-thin graphene heatsink, helping the drive operate stably and minimizing thermal throttling. In addition, users can also add an external cooling solution to ensure the SSD always reaches maximum performance.

The T-Force Z54E PCIe 5.0 SSD will be released in three capacity options:

  1. 1TB: Sequential read/write speed 14.9GB/s - 13.7GB/s
  2. 2TB & 4TB: Sequential read/write speed 14.9GB/s - 14.0GB/s

With impressive performance and optimal heat management, Team Group T-Force Z54E promises to be the top choice for technology enthusiasts and high-end gaming systems that need extremely fast storage speeds.
