Recover passwords with free utilities (part 1)
When using a PC or Internet, you will have to memorize a lot of passwords for dialup and email accounts . All passwords will be converted to *** and when you forget the small utilities below This will help you easily find your password.
The utilities introduced below are free, and have the same function of recovering passwords from ***** characters into readable characters. Example: ****** = abc123.
Dialup pass
When you use dialup to connect to the Internet, Windows will store your account and use it when needed. But Windows does not allow you to view that password every time you use it. Therefore, when you need to see or forget your password, you can use Dialup Pass to restore your password.
Dialup Pass does not need to be installed, you just need to copy the file here to a folder and use it (including the user guide).
The current version is 2.43. Dialup pass works well on most versions of Windows: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. However, with Windows 2000 and XP, you need to log in with an administrator account to use it. Note: some anti virus programs may notify dialup pass as a virus / trojan, but you can rest assured to use it.
Asterisk Logger
Functional with Dialup pass but Asterisk Logger helps recover passwords with applications such as CuteFTP, CoffeeCup Free FTP, VNC, IncrediMail, Outlook Express and some other applications that use passwords when operating.
Asterisk logger will automatically find the password whenever a password store window appears and displays next to that window and automatically inserts it into Asterisk Logger's list. You can also store these passwords as HTML or text files.
Asterisk Logger also has a nice function that allows you to keep track of changed passwords and notify you.
Just open Asterisk Logger, then open the application you want to recover, Asterisk Logger will automatically restore you. Version 1.0 works well on all Windows. You can download it here (including instructions).
If you use it on WindowsNT, you need to download the file 'psapi.zip' and put it in the 'system32' folder.
Restore website password with AsterWin IE
