Visually, although season 3 still has its shortcomings, there has been a significant improvement in art and animation, especially in the fight scenes, and this is easily the best-animated season of Record of Ragnarok to date.
The storyline of the war between humans and gods in season 3 is also very strong; with new characters like Hades, Beelzebub, Qin Shi Huang, and Nikola Tesla. Record of Ragnarok season 3 has some of the best character storylines in anime history, and when combined with surprisingly good visuals, it's perhaps the first season that viewers find enjoyable from beginning to end.
