Photoshop for editing photos with text thanks to AI integration

Adobe announced the integration of AI called Firefly into the Generative Fill feature in Photoshop photo editing software, allowing the world's most popular photo editing software to edit photos with text.

Adobe said that Firefly was tested for six weeks on an independent website before being included in Photoshop.

With Generative Fill, Photoshop users only need to type text to be able to add, expand, or remove details from an image. This is similar to Dall-E, Midjourney and other painting super AIs.

The beta version will be available on computers from May 23, and will be officially deployed later this year.

Immediately after Adobe's announcement, artists expressed concern that Firefly could harm copyrighted artwork.

Adobe has responded, they said AI Firefly is trained on 100 million images of the platform itself, as well as images that have expired copyright, so that will limit that risk.
