Also in the announcement, the eBay-owned subsidiary also said that it is ending its work with about 120 independent contractors worldwide.
Earlier this month, the AP had previously revealed the possibility of job cuts, and now PayPal has officially confirmed.
Before the dismissal, PayPal had about 3,200 employees working for them.
The popular payment service company added that the cuts in jobs are mainly in the organization of technology and their products.
