Microsoft releases an urgent patch to fix authentication errors on Windows Server
On affected systems, users cannot sign in to services or applications using Single Sign-On (SSO) in on-premises Active Directory or hybrid Azure Active Directory environments.
This issue affects systems running Windows Server 2019 and lower versions, including Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, and Windows Server 2008 SP2.
According to Microsoft, it was the security update released on November 9 that caused the Kerberos authentication problem. Therefore, an urgent update was released to quickly resolve the issue.
