Microsoft Paint is integrated with Dall-E image creation AI
Microsoft Paint editing software is supplemented with Dall-E 3, an artificial intelligence image creation tool developed by OpenAI that can convert text into images, helping to simplify the user's creative process.
Users need to update to the latest version of Paint to use this feature. Open the app and tap the "Cocreator" button on the right side of the toolbar to get started. When users provide a description, Dall-E 3's algorithm provides three photos, along with many different drawing style options.
In addition, users can also drag and drop photos into the editing interface or rename and save photos on the device by selecting "Save".
Users who subscribe to the Canary, Dev, and Beta channels of the Windows Insider program will get to try Paint Cocreator about two months before the general user community.
According to Microsoft, Khan has applied a filter to prevent the AI image creation feature on Paint from creating offensive, harmful or inappropriate products to comply with content moderation rules.
However, Microsoft admits that Paint's censorship algorithm is not perfect, so it recommends that users report violating images via the "Feedback" button integrated in the Cocreator panel.
Cocreator only acts as an intermediary, sending descriptive text to the online Azure Dall-E service and receiving the results in image form, not directly storing images or user data.
Dall-E along with Midjourney are the most popular AI imaging tools today.
