Despite bringing in new features and experiences, Mac OS Mountain Lion has been complained about the battery life being too expensive to launch just a few days ago. Apple quickly updated the software to 10.8.1 shortly thereafter, but the problem was not resolved completely.
The MacObserver page yesterday released the same battery test on a 15-inch MacBook Pro with different OS X versions from 10.8.2 and earlier to 10.6.8 and the results showed that the new version really did overcome the problem of battery life. Accordingly, version 10.8.2 is an hour better than the previous version 10.8.1 and slightly better than the previous 10.6.8.
Configuring the tested model of MacBook Pro 15 inch " life" 2011 with 2 GHz processor, 8 GB RAM, Radeon HD 6490M GPU graphics card and two internal hard drives are OCZ Vertex 4 64 GB SSD and Seagate Momentus 750 GB HDD. The battery life on the new version is 6.7 hours.
