Like iPhone X, unlocking faces on Galaxy S10 is easily fooled by stills or videos

The face detection technology on the supreme Galaxy S10 is not really perfect, it is easily overcome by simple tricks.

Technology site Verge and channel owner YouTube Unbox Therapy recently conducted a test to check the safety of face detection technology on S10.

YouTube channel owner Unbox Therapy distributed a video containing the device owner image on a phone and left it in front of Samsung's phone model. Surprisingly, facial recognition technology on the Galaxy S10 is easily overcome but ignores elements such as the focusing distance and detail of the image.

Meanwhile, Italy's SmartWorld, just using still images, can easily trick the face unlock feature on the Galaxy S10, even if the device has turned off the fast recognition feature to speed up the scan face, while reducing the level of security.

Jane Wong, a famous person in Hong Kong technology industry, also shared about the vulnerability in the new product's security class. Specifically, this person can easily unlock the Galaxy S10 that his younger brother is using with his own face. This shows that Galaxy S10 has trouble distinguishing family members.
