The phenomenon of iPhone emitting strange sounds makes users confused

Recently, many iPhone users around the world, including some in Vietnam, reported that their phones suddenly emitted "mysterious" sounds of unknown origin.

What do users say about this phenomenon?

A user currently using an iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.2 shared that his iPhone suddenly made a strange sound, even though he did not open any applications. The phone left on the table also suddenly made a sound, but when checking, he could not find any application causing it to turn off.

On social media platforms like Facebook, Reddit, X, and TikTok, many other users have encountered similar situations. One Facebook account said: "I even heard the conversation between two people, without calling or opening the app.

Some comments in the comments section said that the audio is mostly in foreign languages and there is no Vietnamese. This phenomenon often occurs at night, making users feel insecure.

This phenomenon is not new. On November 14, 2024, Reddit user OkStrawberry26 reported that his iPhone was playing a man's voice. Another user, Ready-eddy, heard what sounded like two people talking in a warehouse.

Causes and temporary solutions

Technology site Wccftech cites experts who say the error may originate from iOS 18 software, when the phone automatically connects to nearby devices via Bluetooth. Some people are concerned that this could be a sign that the iPhone is infected with malware or is being remotely controlled by hackers.

Currently, the only workaround is to restart the device or factory reset, but there is no guarantee that the problem will not recur.

So far, Apple has not given any official response regarding this issue.

Other issues on iOS 18

iOS 18 is being criticized for its increasing number of bugs. The latest version of iOS 18.2 has users complaining about slow camera startup and FaceID not working. In late 2024, the iPhone 16 also had problems with random reboots or shutdowns. Most of these bugs were not publicly acknowledged by Apple and were quietly fixed in later updates.
