Intel cooperates with Microsoft, Dell, HP and Lenovo to offer 5G laptops
By the end of next year, you might be able to buy laptops with a 5G mobile network connection. At least that's what Intel promises.
In partnership with Microsoft, Dell, HP and Lenovo, Intel is planning to create 5G-connected PCs and use Intel modems on '2019 holidays'.
Intel said its 5G modem will also support 2G, 3G and LTE. This is also reasonable when deploying using 5G network will not be immediately available. The goal is to provide a gigabit connection speed.
Everywhere 5G rosters but not one way soon but popular immediately
At this time, we should only consider Intel's statement as a target to be targeted but not a firm affirmation that there will be 5G PC for 2 years. Although 5G network is getting closer and closer to reality, there are still many unknown things. AT&T and Verizon are only planning to launch this network by the end of 2018 and T-Mobile even needs to reach 2019.
Qualcomm also plans to put the 5G modem inside its device in 2019 and says it is working with 18 phone companies. However, it is unclear what users can do with the 5G network in addition to the idea of connecting their phones and computers more easily.
