Instructions for creating virtual machines with VirtualBox quickly and easily

Instructions for creating virtual machines using VirtualBox

Step 1: Download and install  VirtualBox here
Step 2: Open the program then click New on the horizontal menu

Step 3: A new dialog box appears, enter your name in the Name box and select information about the operating system you will install in the Type section , the operating system version in the Version section. Here, taimienphi installs Windows XP. Then click Next

Step 4: A new window appears, you proceed to set up RAM for the virtual machine. Then click Next

Step 5: Next, you proceed to set up the drive for the virtual machine. Select Create a virtual hard drive now to create a separate drive for the virtual machine to use, then click Create .

For the drive options you leave the default option as VDI then click Next .

Next, you choose Dynamically expanding storage : Virtual hard drive with expandable capacity or Fixed-size storage : Virtual hard drive with fixed capacity, Click Next to continue.

Here, you determine the storage location for the virtual hard drive, click the yellow button as below to select the storage location, next, you determine the appropriate capacity of the virtual hard drive, then click Create .

Step 6: From the program interface, select the virtual machine you just created and then click Start

Step 7: A new window appears here, select the yellow icon leading to the location containing the ISO File of that operating system, select Open , then click Start to begin the Windows installation process.

Step 8 : The process is going on like a normal Windows installation.

Step 9: Wait a moment for the process to complete. And here is the result

Complete the virtual machine setup with VirtualBox, you can experience multiple operating systems on the same device. If you need to share data between the real machine and the virtual machine, you can set up a shared folder or enable the Shared Clipboard feature to copy and paste content quickly.
