How to Unlock LG Phone
Proceed to restore factory settings
Power off the phone. Press and hold the power button on the right side of the phone to open the menu. Then, select 'power off' then click OK.
Press and hold the power button and volume down button. When the phone is turned off, hold down the power button and volume down button at the same time until the LG logo appears. The volume down button is on the left side of the phone.
Release the buttons when the LG logo appears. When the LG logo appears, you can release the buttons.
Press and hold the power button again. As soon as the LG logo appears and you release the buttons, immediately press the power button again until the Factory Reset screen appears.
Release your hand from the power button. When the Factory Reset screen appears, you can release the power button.
Press the power button to continue. Press the power button again to continue the factory reset process. Press the volume up or down button to cancel.
The factory reset process allows users to access the phone again, but also erases all data on it. All photos, movies, music, apps, data, browser tabs, app data, videos, contacts and anything else you haven't backed up will be deleted. Therefore, you should periodically back up data on your phone.
Press the power button again to confirm that you want to restore factory settings. Press the volume up or down button to cancel the process.
Unlock SIM through network operator
Open the phone app. This app has a phone receiver icon. Before opening the application, you need to check to make sure that the original SIM is still on the phone. You won't be able to access your phone using another carrier's SIM until the phone is unlocked.
Select numeric keypad. This button has a 10-dot icon similar to the numeric keypad on a phone.
Dial code *#06#. The phone's 15-digit IMEI will appear. Make a note of this code as you will need it when you contact your carrier's customer service.
Contact your carrier's customer service. You need to contact the phone's original carrier. Tell them you plan to sell your phone or move abroad. Be prepared to provide your full name, phone number, email and IMEI number. The carrier will send the unlock code and some instructions via the email you provided. Please proceed with caution as this code is only valid once.
Carriers will often provide a free unlock code. However, some carriers will have specific requirements for the user's account or phone. You can still be rejected by them if you do not meet the requirements.
Check email. It may take 1-3 business days for the email containing the unlock code to be sent to you. You need to proceed with caution as this code is only valid once.
Power off the phone. You need to turn off the phone before removing the SIM.
Replace SIM. Remove the old SIM from the phone and insert the new SIM. You can refer to the manual to find out the location of the SIM tray on your current phone model.
Power on the phone. Once you have inserted the new SIM, you can turn on the phone.
Enter the unlock code. If the code is accepted, you'll be able to use your phone abroad with any carrier or SIM card.

Visit https://www.unlockriver.com/ using a web browser. You can use any web browser and device.
Fill out the form. Use the drop-down menus to select information as follows:
Select your current service provider. The "Carrier" drop-down menu is used to select a carrier. A list of supported carriers will appear when you click this drop-down menu.
Select "LG". The "Manufacturer" menu is for the manufacturer "LG".
Select phone model. The "Model" menu is used to select the phone model. To determine the product model, you will need to refer to the user manual or tap "About" in the Settings menu on your phone.
Enter the IMEI code. Use the "IMEI (15 digits)" box to enter the phone's 15-digit IMEI code.
Enter your email address. Enter an email address that you use frequently. The unlock code will be sent to this address.
Click Unlock . This purple button is below the form.
Select a payment method. You can pay by credit card, debit card or PayPal.
Send require. Click Submit to submit the request.
Check email. It may take 1-3 business days for the email containing the unlock code to be sent to you. You need to proceed with caution as this code is only valid once.
Power off the phone. Every time you remove the SIM, you need to turn off the phone first.
Replace SIM. Remove the old SIM from the phone and insert the new SIM. You can refer to the manual to find out the SIM tray location of your current phone model.
Power on the phone. Once you have inserted the new SIM, you can turn on the phone.
