How to Join Yahoo! Groups
Begin
Create a Yahoo account. To access Yahoo! Groups, you need a Yahoo account.
Create an account by going to www.Yahoo.com and clicking 'Mail'.
Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account.
You will need to provide a username and password.
Choose a username that you won't mind if others see. Once you join the group, other people will see this name.
You will use this username and password to log in to Yahoo! Groups.

Browse to find groups. Choose from among the various categories listed on the main Yahoo! Groups at www.groups.yahoo.com.
Categories include Business & Finance, Computers & Internet, Family & Home, Government & Politics, Hobbies & Crafts (Hobbies & crafts), Romance & Relationships (Romance & relationships), Schools & Education (Schools & Education), etc.
Start searching for groups by clicking on one of these categories.
Click the group name to see a description of the group.
Find groups by searching by keyword. You can search yourself if you know the name of the group you want to join.
Use the search box at the top of the main Yahoo! Groups and enter keywords to find groups.

Join group
Join a group that you enjoy. After finding the group, please apply to join.

Select an alias (display name). The default alias will be your email address.

Decide how often you want to receive notifications from the group.
Confirm the selections by re-entering the text displayed in the frame. This will help verify your identity.
You can change how often the team emails you at any time. Visit the Edit Membership area on your group's home page and click the edit icon next to the Subscription button.
Change the display name (alias) by logging into Yahoo mail. Click the "Settings" > "Accounts" option. Select "Edit" to the right of "Yahoo Account" and enter your new name under the "Sending Name" heading.
Subscribe to the group email list
Receive emails from the group. You can receive emails from the group without joining.
To subscribe, send a blank email to groupname-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
Replace 'groupname' with the actual name of the group.
After you reply to the confirmation message, you'll start receiving emails from the team.
You won't have access to all Teams web features like photos, polls, and calendars.
You can decide to join the group later by submitting a request to join on the group's home page.
Join Yahoo! Groups
Post to the group through Conversations. Conversations are the area where most group activities take place.
Click 'Conversations' on the group's home page.
Click 'New Topic', enter a new message and click 'Send'.
Click 'Reply to this message' to send a reply to another member's message.

Email the group. You can email the group as you normally would with any email address.

Compose your message in the email body then click 'Send'.
You can add photos as attachments.
Search for previously posted items. You can find previously posted messages, files, and images.
Once in a group, you can use the "search" icon to find older posts.
