Baratov, 22, deceived the victim by sending them an email with links with malicious code to steal the account and sell it for money. He advertised his service on the Russian hack site and found a customer who needed that skill.
Baratov was arrested in March in Canada and extradited to California, where he was detained without bail. He is accused of violating the Anti-Abuse and Computer Fraud Act, in addition to imprisonment, and faces a fine of $ 2,250,000.
The trial will take place on February 20, 2018 and Baratov will face years of imprisonment.
