For four days, Cary Walkin, a Canadian accountant, created Candy Number Crunch Saga. This game is a big hit for the famous Candy Crush Saga game, created by King.com.

Built into Excel grid, 3D Maze game developed by Jordan Goldmeier comes from Optionexplicitvba.com. Goldmeier, a 'guest' author on Walkin's blog, shared a step-by-step guide on how to create 3D mazes and post this game.
Using the arrow buttons in the spreadsheet, users can easily move around the maze. Below the arrow is the map section, which can help players navigate the maze.

Kevin Lyman, a Microsoft intern, has built a word game for many people, such as "Scrabble meets Battleship". The name of this game is Writer's Block built entirely in Excel using a combination of conditional formatting, Visual Basic for Application (VBA) and images.
Lyman is currently transferring Writer's Block from Excel to a mobile platform and may release it for Android, iOS and Windows Phone. The Excel version of Writer's Block is not available for free, but when the mobile version comes out, users can play this game for free.
