Gemini offers faster model switching speeds from the @ menu.
With the release of Gemini 3 Flash, the model switching functionality in the Gemini app has been expanded, and selection is now faster right from the menu.
Previously, the @ menu in Gemini only displayed extensions. Now, we see a Models item appear at the top of the page, eliminating the need to use the dropdown menu in the bottom right corner of the dialog box; this menu will automatically update based on your selection.
You can use the arrow keys to select the model , or type the first letter and press Enter. Then, @Fast, @Thinking, or @Pro will appear in the selection box, and the user can reopen the menu to select one of the Connected apps.
Currently, this option on Gemni is only available on the web version, and only in a few regions. This is a significant improvement that enhances the user experience when you urgently need to complete a task.
