CCleaner 5.45 is wiped out by collecting user data, if you are using it, remove it immediately
New users have recently discovered CCleaner version 5.45 (a popular computer system cleanup tool commonly used in the world) that contains "Active Monitoring" used to send information and usage data offline. for Piriform and cannot be disabled.
According to Ghacks, the user has disabled options such as Enable system monitoring and Enable Active Monitoring by going to Options -> Monitoring but these options will automatically reactivate when the user reboots the machine or restarts the application.
In addition, CCleaner 5.45 only allows users to minimize the program window on the Windows system tray but not close. User must close CCleaner 5.45 via Task Manager.
After receiving feedback from users, Piriform claims to remove version v5.45. In addition, they will separate the two features Active Monitoring and Heartbeat so that users can easily control them separately and can close the program easily in the new update.
The new update comes with some important improvements to be released in the next few weeks. In the meantime, users can install and use CCleaner version 5.44 or choose alternative tools.
