Bkav released the W32.WeakPass anti-virus server inspection tool
On the afternoon of February 14, Bkav issued a warning about a targeted attack on Vietnam's public servers from foreign hackers. Unlike previous data encryption codes that usually target workstations and W32.WeakPass viruses only attack servers.
By the afternoon of February 19, Bkav has released a tool to help administrators check the security of the server. This is a completely free tool, administrators only need to access the address below, then enter the server's IP address to scan directly. Time to check this server can be up to 5 minutes.

Conversely, the tool will issue a warning that the server is bruteforce exploited easily.
At that time, to ensure safety, administrators need to reset the password strongly for the server immediately, if not really necessary, turn off the remote desktop service for the server. If you need to maintain the remote desktop, limit access only to fixed IPs that are known to allow remote access.
