Bkav released a free detection tool for Meltdown and Specter
Bkav has released a free tool that checks whether the browser and the user's computer are also suffering from Specter and Meldown errors.
Specter and Meldown are two serious security vulnerabilities that affect the processing chip of every computer, phone and cloud device produced in the last 20 years. These two vulnerabilities can be exploited by javascript code through the browser when accessing the web. Hackers can take advantage of these two vulnerabilities to read sensitive information in the operating system's memory and other programs.
Developers have released many patches and to ensure safety you should update Windows patches. To check if your browser and computer are patched, users can use Bkav's free online testing tool (http://www.bkav.com.vn/meltdown) .
If your browser and computer have not patched the vulnerability, you need to update the antivirus software before updating the patch because only when the antivirus software is compatible will Microsoft update.
