Most of the opinions are that it may be the new BKAV version that BKIS is developing to replace the BKAV Home version.

Answering this question by Vietnam Post Newspaper correspondent, Mr. Vu Ngoc Son, Director of BKIS Research and Development Department, confirmed that BKIS is developing a new free version called Bkav Security Essential (BKAV SE). Compared with Home version, BKAV SE will have some new features such as Live Update (live real-time updates), cloud computing, Firewall (firewall) .

The interface of BKAV SE will also be upgraded and changed almost like the interface of BKAV Pro version to be more user-friendly.

Currently, BKAV SE is only circulated internally by the Alpha version (the test is in a narrow range) and by the end of this December, there will be a Beta version (a public test). Expected in early 2011, before launching BKAV Pro 2011, BKIS will officially introduce BKAV SE.

BKAV antivirus software has been developed since 1995 based on MS-DOS. Bkav 2002 version runs directly on Windows platform was born in 2002. By 2005, BKAV was divided into 4 versions including BkavPro, BkavEnterprise, BkavGatewayScan, BkavHome. In 2009, BkavPro 2009 Internet Security version was released and changed the interface. However, BKAV Home remains the same interface since 2002.
