Apple does not deny that the old battery-powered iPhone may be slower, but the Apple battery management feature has been used to improve the overall speed of the device, preventing the iPhone from collapsing rather than forcing users to buy a new device by deliberately slow down the old machine.
It is undeniable that Apple did not do a good job explaining this feature to users as well as how the battery status will affect the speed of the iPhone. Users should also know when the battery starts to get old / bottle to choose whether or not to swap. Apple should probably also change the policy to allow battery replacement because currently, the battery is not replaced unless it is considered to be unusable.
IPhone battery is 80% lower than the original after 500 charging cycles. Damaged batteries that have not reached this number can be replaced free of charge if you have AppleCare + or have a warranty period.
