Android released new features that highlight applications that drain the battery
To solve the problem of battery drain by many applications, Google has tested a new feature to overcome this situation.
One of the biggest challenges to battery life on Android devices over the years is the Wakelocks feature. This function causes applications to constantly open and search for information on the phone that makes it impossible for the device to enter a deep sleep state, which drains the battery.
To solve this problem, many third-party applications have the function of detecting and breaking the Wakelocks when Android turns off the screen and currently, Google is participating in troubleshooting.
Many Twitter users said that in the latest version of Android 8.1 Developer Preview, the battery application has highlighted battery-powered software. The warning will appear in the battery settings section with a red icon, with the battery application's name and how to release the wasted battery. When you touch the warning icon, you will be given the option to troubleshoot the problem, in which, simply, turn off the application or turn off the app's location data.
There is no information yet that Google will include this feature in the official Android 8.1 because it used to try many features but removed it before releasing the final version. However, this is also an encouraging development of Google when testing features that help users control their phones more.
