AMD opposes Intel bias in benchmark results

Nvidia and AMD expressed their opposition to SYSMark 2012 results by withdrawing from the computer benchmark group established by BAPCo.

Computer benchmarks are an important method to compare performance between PCs.

SYSMark 2012 is one of the most popular benchmark software versions of BAPCo. The company has partnered with many software vendors and chip makers to create a testing process that evaluates the real performance of computers.

However, recently Nvidia and AMD have left this group because the new software does not take into account the parallel processing performance of the GPU graphics processor.

The combination of performance between CPU and GPU makes the difference between AMD and Intel. AMD technology allows computers to use both integrated GPUs and discrete graphics cards for processing at the same time.

Therefore, the company believes that the SYSMark 2012 system biases its competitors because it focuses on each CPU processing capability. Nvidia has no comment on its departure.

In addition to AMD and Nvidia, the benchmark alliance has names such as Microsoft, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony and even Intel.
