Leaked Intel Core i5-14600K benchmark at both normal and overclocked clocks
Benchmark results of Intel's Intel Core i5-14600K CPU at both base clock and overclock have just been revealed on Geekbench 6. This 14th generation chip is oriented by Intel to target the popular segment in the price range. 300 USD in the US, and will compete directly with the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 CPU lines from AMD.
The specifications of the Intel Core i5-14600K CPU are basically nothing complicated. You'll get a total of 6 high-performance P cores (12 threads) and 8 low-power E cores (8 threads), for a total of 14 cores and 20 threads. These cores are all built on the same 10ESF process node and use the Raptor Cove & Gracemont core architecture. The chip provides 24MB of L3 cache and 20MB of L2 cache. The CPU runs at a base clock speed of 3.5GHz and a boost clock speed of up to 5.3GHz (on one core).
- Core i5-14600K: 14 cores (6+8)/20 threads/boost 5.3GHz/L3 cache 24MB/125W/TBD
- Core i5-13600K: 14 cores (6+8)/20 threads/5.1GHz boost/24MB L3 cache/125W/$319
- Core i5-12600K: 10 cores (6+4)/16 threads/4.9GHz boost/20MB L3 cache/125W/$318
The latest benchmark results have been added to the Geekbench 6 database showing what to expect from the CPU's stock and overclocked performance.
The first review applies to a system using Core i5-14600K with ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard, DDR5-5200 memory (32GB capacity). The results returned include a single-core score of 2819 and a multi-core score of 16,707, equivalent to a 6% increase in single-core performance and a 13% increase in multi-core performance compared to the i5-13600K.
The second review runs on the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS Master This configuration results in a single-core performance score of 2,861 points and a multi-core performance score of 17,974 points. That means a 1.5% increase in single-core performance and an 8% increase in multi-core performance.
Intel is expected to release 14th generation Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K & Core i5-14600K CPU models this year. Specifically, according to a report from Videocardz, Intel's 14th generation Raptor Lake Refresh desktop CPU line will be available for sale starting this October, which is one month after its first launch at the Inovation 2023 event.
