Design and name of Apple Watch
There are currently 2 major versions of Apple Watch, which are:
- Series 1
- Series 3
Apple Watch Series 2 has officially discontinued production after Apple released the Apple Watch Series 3 series, but you can still purchase this product through third-party retailers (not Apple).
Apple Watch Series 1
The Apple Watch Series 1 series has not changed from the first line introduced in the fall of 2016 before, except for the new price which is a bit lower.
Series 1 is Apple's first-class device and targets customers who want to own a basic smartwatch. This smartwatch line can track fitness activities, receive notifications and perform basic functions is watching the time.
If you want to buy an Apple Watch Serries 1 for someone or for use, please note that this version does not contain the following features:
- Mobile network connectivity
- Waterproof
- Integrated GPS
- Ability to operate independently
- Extremely powerful screen brightness (450 nit)
Apple Watch Serries 3
Series 3 is the current line of watches and has many different versions, however, all have the same basic shape and technology.
Common versions are:
- Serries 3
- Nike + (aka Nike Plus)
- Apple Watch Hermès
- Apple Watch Edition (this is Apple's most expensive and expensive version because it has been made from 18 karat gold - however, this version of Apple has been discontinued)
All Serries 3 and Nike + models have optional mobile network connectivity.
The Hermès and Edition models also have mobile network connectivity but no network options.

- The LTE antenna is capable of making calls from the watch (this is an optional feature of the Series 3 series).
- High-pressure measurement function to monitor altitude (when climbing stairs, .) and calculate total data, monitor user activity
- S3 processors promise to deliver up to 70% faster performance.
- W2 chip provides up to 85% faster Wi-Fi
Apple Watch Nike +
Apple Watch Nike + is available on genuine Apple stores and Apple Watch Series 3. This smartwatch has 2 versions with and without mobile network connection.

- Nike + exclusive watch face
- Integrated Nike + Run Club jogging application
- Nike brand on the back of the watch
Apple Watch Summerrmes
As mentioned above, this is one of the luxury Apple Watch Series 3 versions crafted with French designer - Summerrmes.
Unique features of Apple Watch Summer Watch:
- Quite a lot of strap with a starting price of 300 USD (you can buy retail)
- Brand Summerrmes is located on the back of the watch
- Summerrmes watch face
Apple Watch Edition
This is a special version of Apple Watch Serries 3 with higher quality made from solid ceramic.
Unique features of Apple Watch Edition:
- Available in 2 colors made from gray and white ceramic
Size of Apple Watch
All smartwatch versions of Apple have 2 sizes. The size here is calculated by measuring the angle of the diagonal on the screen:
- 38mm
- 42mm
The difference between these two sizes is not much, but when you put them on your hands, you will see the difference. The smartwatch has a large size means it will have longer battery life.
