Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote are currently testing Dark Mode on iOS 13
More and more apps in the Office ecosystem on iOS 13 are getting a new Dark Mode, at least for beta testers. Microsoft revealed that Dark Mode, announced earlier this summer, is currently rolling out testing for Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote on iOS 13.
These Dark Mode, like you would expect, have a black background to highlight the white text on each application. There are also many brand colors of each application, also highlighted on the black background. Dark Mode can be enabled in each app by switching iOS 13 system interface settings from light to dark.
This is part of a strong push from Microsoft to bring Dark Mode to the entire line of Microsoft 365 applications. We have seen Dark Mode implemented for Outlook and OneDrive, along with Microsoft To Do. October 7 last. In August, Microsoft released a video that provided an initial look at what Dark Mode would look like on its product line.
Assuming the test goes well, Microsoft is planning to release Dark Mode on these applications for every iOS 13 user next week.
