Apple has built a new way to handle sensitive data in the cloud, ensuring Apple Intelligence features only run on-device to avoid data leaks.

Any data exchanged with cloud services will be encrypted and deleted immediately afterwards.

Private Cloud Compute only uses your information to complete the request, then deletes it to ensure no one can access it, including Apple employees. At the same time, Apple has also designed the system so that independent researchers can verify these layers of protection

Hardware platform

Apple has trained its own AI, trained by the company based on the AXLearn framework that the company released in 2023 for use on devices and on servers, not tweaked from Gemini or ChatGPT like competitors. This helps the company limit one of the biggest concerns when it comes to online AI tools, which is security.

The big difference in Apple's AI from its competitors is that Apple will transfer complex user tasks to a server-based AI model that uses its own silicon to operate to ensure privacy. Apple manages everything from hardware to operating system so they can do it and maybe the M2 Ultra chip will take on this task.

The true power of Apple Intelligence

Apple has upgraded its software development kit (SDK) for developers to make it easier for them to integrate Apple Intelligence and their products.

This means Apple has strong support from third-party developers, another advantage that ChatGPT or Galaxy AI will find difficult to achieve.
