Previously, accounts in Vietnam could only pay or transfer money via credit card, while Google did not allow programmers to receive money on accounts when selling games, applications on Google Play warehouses. Therefore, they often have to "circumvent the law" by using accounts in other countries such as the US (if found, they can be fined, account locked).

However, Google representative in Southeast Asia said Google has officially opened the function of receiving money for Google Wallet accounts (similar to PayPal) originating from Vietnam, helping programmers to receive money directly when selling fee collection.

Google is increasingly interested in the Vietnamese market.

To participate, the developer can register on the Application Management page (Developer Console) and set up a Google Wallet account. If you are providing a free application, they can still register for additional forms of application or collect money in the application (in-app purchase). With new applications, programmers can upload them as paid applications, in addition to in-app products or subscriptions.

This move by Google will encourage experts in Vietnam to develop more Android apps with no fees and no ads, instead of the majority of free apps containing advertising today.
