The world's fastest 1.5 TB microSD card
According to SanDisk, only when paired with a device that supports equivalent speed, or through a reader released by the company, microSD MobileMate USB 3.0, can the memory card achieve this speed.
Most microSDs today have a read speed of 100 MB/s, only the Lexar Professional 1000x microSDXC UHS-II reaches 150 MB/s but has a lower capacity, the highest being 128GB.
However, SanDisk has not announced the writing speed of the memory card. According to Petapixel, writing speed is usually low compared to reading, while writing speed is more important when it comes to memory card performance. Therefore, many people are quite confused when SanDisk does not disclose the writing speed.
Specifications on SanDisk Ultra show that the card meets C10 (Class 10) standard, meaning the minimum writing speed is 10 MB/s. The card's application performance is rated A1, providing better launch and overall application performance when mounted on a smartphone.
SanDisk Ultra 1.5 TB microSD memory card is aimed at users of mobile devices such as smartphones, dash cams, and drones.
SanDisk Ultra 1.5 TB sells for $150. In addition to this 1.5 TB model, the new microSD card also comes in lower capacity options from 32 GB to 1 TB.
In addition to the Ultra 1.5 TB, SanDisk also introduces the SanDisk Pro-Cinema CFexpress Type B memory card designed for professional video recording with 8K resolution, has a writing speed of at least 1400 MB/s, and can withstand drops from height up to 90cm; SanDisk Outdoors 4K microSDXC UHS-I cards with capacities from 64 to 512 GB, support video recording at resolutions up to 4K (3840×2160 pixels).
