PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG Mobile can restrict an account for cheating, unauthorized software or hardware, client modification, exploit abuse, disruptive conduct, account trading, or other rule violations. A disconnect, maintenance error, or security warning is not always a ban, so read the exact message and use the support channel for the version you play.
The two games have separate publishers, anti-cheat systems, rules, and appeal routes. Do not send an account password, one-time code, or payment to anyone claiming they can remove a ban.
Cheats, macros, and unauthorized tools
Software or devices that automate actions, alter recoil, expose hidden information, modify game files, bypass anti-cheat, or otherwise create an unfair advantage can lead to a restriction. This includes scripts and macro functions even when they are built into a mouse or keyboard.

PUBG has specifically stated that recoil-reduction macros and related scripts violate its Rules of Conduct. PUBG Mobile's security updates likewise identify cheats, unauthorized third-party software, and modified clients as serious violations.
- Remove macros, scripts, injectors, debuggers, modified APKs, and unofficial plugins.
- Do not use a “graphics optimizer” that edits protected files or unlocks unsupported settings.
- Use the official client and update it through the platform or app store.
- Close tools made for other games if they can hook, automate, or modify a running game.
For emulator graphics, use only the built-in options described in the GameLoop graphics settings guide.
Team killing, griefing, and disruptive play
Intentionally harming teammates, stealing their supplies through team kills, blocking play, harassment, or repeated sabotage can lead to reports and penalties.

Accidents can happen in a chaotic fight, but continuing the behavior or using throwables deliberately against the squad creates a clear pattern. Communicate before throwing grenades or driving through a teammate's position, and use the in-game report system for intentional abuse rather than retaliating.
Offensive names and communication
Usernames, clan names, chat, and voice content may be moderated when they contain harassment, hate, threats, impersonation, or other prohibited material. A name passing the initial text filter does not guarantee that it complies with the rules.

Change an inappropriate name through the official in-game process when possible. Do not evade a filter with symbols or alternate spelling.
Exploits and client manipulation
Knowingly using a bug to enter restricted terrain, become difficult to hit, duplicate items, manipulate matchmaking, or gain another unintended advantage can be penalized. PUBG has described intentional terrain exploits used for an unfair win as a rules violation. Report a reproducible bug through support and stop using it.
Account trading, rental, and compromised accounts
Buying, selling, renting, or sharing accounts can violate service rules and exposes linked platform accounts, passwords, and personal information. A new owner or renter may cheat on the account, leaving the original holder responsible for the resulting restriction.
If an account was stolen, change the passwords for linked services, revoke unknown sessions, and use official recovery. PUBG Mobile provides an account recovery process from the login-screen Help menu.
What to do after a ban message
- Record the exact notice. Take a screenshot that includes the reason code, duration, date, and account identifier.
- Identify the game edition. PUBG on Steam or console, PUBG Mobile Global, and PUBG Mobile VN do not use the same support system.
- Secure the account. Change linked passwords and review sessions if compromise is possible.
- Remove suspicious software or devices. Do not delete evidence or repeatedly reinstall at random; record what was running first.
- Submit one clear appeal. Include the account ID, platform, notice, time of the incident, and relevant device information.
- Wait for the official response. Repeated tickets, paid “unban” services, and social-media impersonators do not improve the case.
PUBG Mobile players should use the official PUBG Mobile support portal or in-game Customer Service. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS players should use PUBG Support.
Avoid false or unsupported explanations
Do not assume every restriction is permanent, or that a specific report automatically causes one fixed punishment. Penalties depend on the detected conduct, evidence, history, and current policy. Likewise, a temporary matchmaking limit, platform VAC notice, account lock, and PUBG Mobile ban are different events.
The safest approach is simple: use the official client, keep automation disabled, follow conduct rules, protect linked accounts, and check the current PUBG Mobile Security Center or PUBG Rules of Conduct when a feature or peripheral is uncertain.
